Two Faces of Every Book

Book Reviews

There are always two sides to every story the same goes for a book. There is always a positive side and a negative side. The positive side and the negative side for me are the two important faces of every book.

Whenever I do book reviews I always see to it that I include the two important things in doing book reviews, knowing your Pros and Cons. In every aspect of life there are always two things that contradict one from the other so I think talking about the positive and negative side of the book will let the readers know the opinions or thoughts of other readers as well. During book reviews I will give you a glimpse about what is to expect of the book just to give you an idea. I will not give too much and specially the things that will spoil your reading. I will point out only the things that I liked and disliked about the book. So my book reviews will surely be spoiler free. ^_^

How I Rate My Books

Book Ratings

As much as I love books I love rating them as well. In order for me to differentiate the books that I super love and books that I don't really like so much. I think that keeping my books rated will define the books that are remarkable and brilliantly written. Also other people might get curious as to what book got the highest score and the book that got the lowest score. All my book ratings will be my sole opinion and not influenced by others. I'm not very picky when it comes to books and usually I'm not that hard to please as long as the book is a good read, sensible enough and doesn't bore me I usually give it the highest stars.

So basically I rate my books from 1-5 Stars. 1 Star being the lowest and 5 Stars being the highest. Below are the stars with their corresponding meaning:

  • 1 - 1.99 Stars - Boring! I'll never recommend it to anybody!!!
  • 2 - 2.99 Stars - A little slow at first but it was okay
  • 3 - 3.99 Stars - It was definitely a good read
  • 4 - 4.99 Stars - Totally recommended. Two Thumbs up!
  • 5 Stars - One hell of a good book. A must read before you die type of book ^^

Blog Introduction

Into being a Book Lover

I can't seem to remember how I started to love reading books, especially novels. When I was still a child I really love going to bookstores and buying books but the problem was I never really got to finish the books that I buy, even though I never finish reading my books or got lazy of reading them it never got in the way for my likeness in buying books. I love it when I see books of different kinds and sizes, I love the dusty smell of books that had been kept in their bookshelves for so long and I love the sound made by books when they are pulled in and out from their shelves.

So from then on that had been my whole routine me going to bookstores and buying some and then not even finishing reading until recently my attention was caught by a book that has a very dark, gothic cover to it. I was so curious of what the book was all about so I've decided to buy it. When I got home I surprisingly read the book and what was more surprising to it was, I am able to finish it. So that was when I really started being a book lover, and not just a book lover alone but being a book reader as well. So the rest as they say was history.

From a Book Lover to a Book Blogger

This is actually my first time to have a blog and what interested me in doing so is my passion for reading novels. I want to share my opinions about books to other people and in turn knowing their opinions as well. I want to reach out to people whom I have the same love for reading. Also I want to explore my knowledge for highly recommended books. My book blog will contain mainly book reviews and book ratings. Hope you like my blog and let us all explore the world of reading. ^_^
